LAINCO, a leader in the chemical industry, enthusiastically commemorated its 90th anniversary since its founding in 1934 with a week full of exciting events and activities, bringing together customers, distributors and staff in an unforgettable celebration.
The big anniversary week
The week of April 29 to May 3, the leading chemical company LAINCO celebrated with great enthusiasm its 90th anniversary since its founding in 1934. During these days, LAINCO held a series of significant events to commemorate this important occasion, with all the key players in its success: customers, employees, shareholders and family members.
The highlight of the week was an exciting convention held at the Hotel Chateauform Campus La Mola, where more than 250 customers and distributors gathered to participate in various activities. The convention was honored by the presence of Roger Torrent, Conseller d’Empresa i Treball and Josep Sanchez Llibre, President of Foment del Treball Nacional and Vice President of the CEOE, who inaugurated the event.
Of particular note was the main conference on “Agriculture and Climate Change,” led by renowned glaciologist Heidi Sevestre, followed by roundtable discussions specific to each business division. In agriculture, the conference continued on climate change, under the title “Climate change and agriculture, how will we have to adapt?”, with the participation of various sector experts such as Tomás García, an expert in EU Agriculture; Jaume Boixadera, a soil expert; Francesc Camps, an expert in water management for agriculture; and finally, Ignacio Atance, an expert in agricultural economics.
From the pharmaceutical perspective, future challenges in terms of digestive health were covered in the session “A look into the future: challenges in digestive wellness”, in which Dr. Javier Santos, Dr. Juan Manuel Mendive and María José Cachafeiro, pharmacist and nutritionist, took part.
During the second day, attendees had the opportunity to visit the Rubí facilities, which cover more than 20,000 m2, and enjoyed a lunch overlooking Barcelona at a well-known restaurant in the city.
To conclude this memorable week, we also organized a Family Day in Rubí and a team-building activity on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively. The anniversary week culminated with a splendid gala dinner, where shareholders and staff joined together to celebrate this significant milestone.
