Spotted winged vinegar fly (Drosophila suzukii) attractant trap
DROSO Pro Classic® is a food attractant for the capture of the spotted winged fruit fly (Drosophila suzukii). This species can feed on small and stone fruits such as cherries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, plums, peaches, grapes, figs, apricots, pears, apples, etc.
DROSO Pro Classic® guarantees a constant and prolonged release of the food attractant, ensuring optimal efficiency in pest monitoring. This innovative product mimics the substances produced by the host plant to attract a specific insect, allowing both male and female pests to be attracted. Males have a gregarious behavior and will therefore be more attracted to the trap than females.
In situations of high pest pressure, applying a curative treatment and measuring its efficacy is beneficial.
DROSO Pro Classic® stands out not only for its effectiveness, but also for its commitment to the environment, as it is completely biodegradable. Its easy storage at room temperature simplifies handling in various conditions, offering convenience and flexibility in its application.
The product is efficient, selective and harmless to fauna, flora, operators and residents. Free of residues, inputs or resistance mechanisms, it is a product suitable for use in organic farming.
USER GUIDE
Droso Pro Caps® bottle + Smart Trap Droso version.
Trap setup: remove the cap and screw the ring onto the bottle. Hole in the bowl to allow for the upside down position. Attach the ring in the transparent bowl, with the ceramic wick facing down. Twist the perforated extension (red part) on the transparent bowl. Leave open the medium-size holes of the perforated extension to allow the spotted-wing drosophila to enter inside. Fill the funnel (green part) with water and unscented soap. The funnel must stay close. Twist the funnel to the perforated extension which is already screw with the bowl. Flies are attracted by the food-attractant, enter the trap and drown in the water.

PEST MONITORING: DETECTION AND TRACKING
Detection period: from April to November (adapt and renew the dispenser according to recommended difussion time).
Trap location:
✓ At the beginning of the season (when flies are not yet in the crop): place traps at the edges of the plot, hung on poles around 1.5 m above the ground, if possible in areas used as shelter by the flies (close to woods, hedges, water). Traps must be positioned from 10 to 50 m of the crop.
✓ During the season (as soon as 1st fly is seen or caught on the farm or close to the farm): move traps into the plot. They can be hung directly in the canopee of the tree, around 1.50m from the ground.
Recommended density to monitoring: 10 to 20 traps / ha.
