On the occasion of World Digestive Health Day, Yoga at Work, a company expert in wellness and how to balance it in the workplace, gave a workshop for the #TeamLAINCO dedicated to better understand the relationship between stress, nutrition and general wellbeing. The day has been developed in two main blocks: the first, yoga and mindfulness to apply it in any environment and, secondly, the theoretical block on nutrition.
Yoga and mindfulness to reduce stress
The day began with a session of Corporate Yoga & Mindfulness taught by Maite Llasera. Through gentle mobility exercises, stretching and conscious breathing techniques, attendees had the opportunity to disconnect from the daily rhythm and reduce accumulated physical and mental tension. During the session, practices such as the sun salutation or the tree pose were performed, providing practical and accessible tools for stress management in the professional environment.

Nutrition and digestive health
In the session on nutrition, sports nutritionist Martina Rebull (known on social media as @comeypedalea) gave a talk focusing on the importance of digestive health and how our daily habits have a direct impact on it.
During the session, the vital role of the gut microbiota was explained; it performs essential functions for the body, such as the digestion and absorption of nutrients, the regulation of the immune system, and the production of neurotransmitters linked to emotional well-being.
Dietary habits and physical exercise
Throughout the day, practical recommendations were shared on how to promote good gut health, emphasising the importance of including fruit, vegetables, pulses, fermented foods and other products rich in prebiotics and probiotics in one’s diet.

To round off the day, the importance of physical exercise as a key factor in digestive health and general well-being was discussed. Its benefits include improved digestion, a stronger immune system and an enhanced sense of well-being, underscoring the importance of looking after both physical and emotional health.
