Now that DROOPY\u00ae<\/a> is a reality in the agricultural sector, which is already revolutionizing the olive harvest in Spain, it is important to know why LAINCO brought this product to life. The main objective was to find a real solution to a problem that had been affecting the olive harvest for years. <\/p>\n\n

The most demanded crop in Spain faced high harvesting costs due to the physiognomy of the fruit. It is difficult for the olive to fall from the branch in traditional and intensive harvesting systems, which are currently the main harvesting methods. <\/p>\n\n

DROOPY\u00ae acts with a biostimulant effect that intervenes directly on the stalk of the olive tree. Thus facilitating its fall at harvest time, while maintaining firmness and stability in the tree. Thanks to this, harvesting times are optimized, which means savings in machinery, handling, crew and fruit waste. <\/p>\n\n

Research and development process <\/h3>\n\n

Juli\u00e1n Herrero, Development Director of LAINCO, explains in detail the beginnings of DROOPY\u00ae: from the study of the physiognomy of the plant at the University of Barcelona, through the testing of various formulations to the field trial. <\/p>\n\n
